Description: The 9071P sensor is a state-of-the-art liquid level measurement instrument. Based on the latest technology, the 9071P provides an efficient, reliable and cost effective means of level reporting and control. The 9071P is a microprocessor controlled unit featuring built-in temperature compensation and rotary switches for ease of calibration. It provides an industry standard 4-20mADC output signal.

Operation: The electronics generate a signal which is sent to the transducer. The transducer transforms this electronic signal into an ultrasonic sound pulse that is directed toward the liquid. When the pulse reaches the liquid level, it is reflected back to the transducer. This received echo is converted back to an electronic signal that is sent to the microprocessor. The microprocessor then calculates the length of travel and uses this value along with switch settings and temperature to calculate and provide a controlled output.
